Spring-Summer 2019
There were some Instagrammable hits here, including a groovy sequin-covered color-blocked catsuit in earthy pink and gray. Another hot item (and an indication that Dalood should expand into accessories) were the net bags made of plastic silver. - IANA SATENSTEIN (Vogue.com)
Spring Summer 2019
Dalood’s melancholic and yet optimistic approach to SS2018 season is not coincidental as it reflects the theme of the collection – designing sustainable fashion.
Being based in Georgia where the country is defined by its nature as well as its natural resources, environment is paramount and most commonly reflected upon whether culturally or artistically. Consequently, the underlying message of this collection is to respect nature and be considerate towards our mother earth.
For this collection, Dalood designer, Maka Kvitsiani, only used organic and renewable textiles, like silk, linen and cotton. Mostly, fabrics of pastel colors, monochrome looks combined with slight touches of sparkly glitter and embroidery, pair of trousers complimenting spacious, crossover, sharp shoulder shirtdresses with asymmetrically cut edges: creating warmth, comfort and tenderness while forming into classy and elegant ensembles. The concept was to design garments that are fully gentle on women.
